10 Inspirational Quotes to Empower You for the Week

10 Inspirational Quotes to Empower you for the week.png

I don’t know about you, but some Mondays (Ok, most Mondays. All Mondays. Ok yes, every single Monday ever) I could use a good dose of inspiration to start the week.

On Monday mornings, I really have to dig deep into the recesses of my brain to locate some semblance of motivation. I have to practice an intricate level of self control not to smash my phone to the ground when the alarm starts going off, throw my computer out my window, and set my makeup on fire instead of getting ready for the day with it. I have to resist many acts of rebellion like these every Monday morning.

Like most people, I’ve developed a small arsenal of coping mechanisms to deal with the rage I feel every Monday morning. I’ve also gotten better about Sunday nights too, which let’s be honest, can really be a dark pool of sadness. (Does anyone else give their clock the finger when you notice it’s 9:00pm on a Sunday?)

To cope with the Sunday sadness and the Monday rage, here are a few things I do:

  • While I do my makeup in the morning, I have something funny playing on my computer (I do my makeup at my desk) - usually the previous night’s episode of John Oliver. Listening to him so eloquently rage about the atrocities of the world helps quell my own rage.

  • I have a cat who sits on my lap and stares at me while I do my makeup every morning, like so:

This obviously improves my Monday mood no matter how pissed off I am.

  • I listen to angry music. Marilyn Manson is especially great for this. 🤘

  • I drink coffee because duh.

  • I scream into a pillow.

  • I don’t work out because I just can’t do that first thing in the morning, but I’ve heard it works for some people, so you could try it if you want to.

  • I listen to a podcast that motivates me. Hashtag Authentic by Sara Tasker, The Influencer Podcast with Jules Solomon, and Pursuit with Purpose by Melyssa Griffin are a few of my faves. I highly recommend you check them out, especially if you are starting your own business or embarking on any creative pursuit.

  • I try to find something inspiring to read. Something quick because, of course, I’m running late to work because I took the time to pet my adorable kitty and scream into a pillow a few times.

And this is where a roundup of inspiring quotes come in handy. If you’re in need of some quick, bite-sized doses of motivation, look no further. I’ve put together a few of my faves!

Just scroll through for 10 inspiring quotes from 10 remarkable women. Go forth and slay your Mondays, my friends!
