Amazon, you’re a tempting little vixen, aren’t you? Really, aren’t we all pretty much hooked on Amazon nowadays? At some point, I’m not sure when, Amazon became a legitimately stylish place to shop. It’s always been budget friendly, it’s always been easy, but stylish? It’s all of the above now.
As a devoted lover of rustic interior decor, I decided to take a stroll down rustic style lane on Amazon, and I found some amazing pieces I’m dying to share with you. A huge part of my styling approach with my own apartment is to mix investment pieces that are on the expensive side (but will stick with you for a long time) with budget finds from the likes of Amazon, Target, and TJ Maxx. I swear, my apartment would not look like it does without mixing in pieces from these kinds of budget friendly stores.

Rustic decor is perfect if you’re in the mood to switch up your interior style, particularly for Fall. It’s such a great aesthetic for cozy Fall days, with natural woods, the warm light of an edison bulb, the visual references to older, simpler times… Curling up with a cup of coffee and a book on a cool Sunday morning surrounded by rustic decor sounds utterly romantic, doesn’t it?

Find those special, hard-to-find antique pieces in a tucked-away corner store, or invest in a pricey piece of furniture that will stay with you for life. Then mix in the accessible, inexpensive Amazon items.
I have to say, finding a bunch of cute items like this kind of drives me crazy. I’ll always be the first to shout from the mountain tops how much I love studio apartment life; when you’re an independent, single girl who wants to live right in the center of a city without roommates, it’s perfect. But when I find rustic items like these on Amazon, it makes me wish I had more space to fill with pretty things! Ugh I’ve pretty much decorated my space to the brim, and there’s simply no more room for new things without making the apartment feel cluttered. And as I’ve said before, there’s a fine line between accessorizing and cluttering.
Oh well, perhaps when I feel ready to switch things up a bit, I’ll give into temptation.
And that's what’s great about incorporating inexpensive, easily accessible pieces into your space: when you do start getting the itch to change things up in your home, it’s so easy and relatively cost-effective to switch them out with new pieces in the same lower price range.
There’s a level of creative freedom involved when decorating with easy, inexpensive items, since you don’t really have to feel the pressure to commit to them for a long period of time like you would with an investment piece or something one-of-a-kind you found at an antique shop. Nothing is sacred when it comes to Amazon or any other budget-friendly spots.
